Master in sport, Gloria Dennard has visited the Taekwon-Do Club “Stolas Leukas”

On Friday 11th April, the Taekwon-Do Club “Stolas Leukas” had a great honor when Mrs. Gloria Dennard from USA came to visit the club. Mrs. Dennard is a Black Belt Holder at the age of 52 and a world vice-champion.
We were impressed to see how well Mrs. Dennard executed Taekwon-Do technical elements while she showed some tulls. She also presented some technics using weapons and then she taught some of those elements, as the one of using nun chaki, the instructors and students who were present at the training.
Even in the beginning of the training, when she introduced herself, Mrs. Dennard mentioned that she believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and she explained the connection between Taekwon-Do technics and Christian faith, saying:
You can’t be a good fighter unless you take firm possitions that are essential in ensuring a good equilibrium. It is the same with the faith in Jesus Christ – it lays a firm foundation that assures our equilibrium in life. We can inherit the Kingdom of Heavens only trough this faith.
The Lord Jesus compared our faith with the foundation of a house and He said so:
Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell–and great was its fall.
Mrs. Dennard donated to our club some equipment for trainings, that were very useful and necessary to us.
The sportsmen of the club expressed their gratitude for the gift and presented their skills, which impressed Mrs. Dennard and other members of the team who came to visit our country.
At the end, as a president and founder of “Stolas Leukas” Club I expressed my gratitude for this visit that had encouraged each of us and I invited Mrs. Dennard to collaborate with us during camps, cantonments and other activities that had dealings with the development of Taekwon-Do art in Moldova.

Mrs. Gloria Dennard is a wonderful teacher and friend thank you so much for everything, helping us, teaching us, and just being there for us.. We appreciate it more than you think.
