Last fall Maria Sofianu, who is a Taekwon-Do trainer, the owner of the Black Belt 3rd Dan and the champion of Moldova for many times began to train a group of girls to practice TaeBo – a gymnastics that is similar to aerobics, that includes Taekwon-Do elements performed with music.

I have taught Maria Taekwon-Do since childhood and I have encouraged her to open this group, that’s why I went yesterday evening to visit their training. I was impressed to see the passion of the girls while they were trained and the beauty of the sportive elements they were performing.
We had the opportunity to talk together and to find out something about each member of this group and their impression about this sport. Maria Sofianu, the trainer told me that she was delighted to practice and to teach the girls, because TaeBo made them be in good spirits and took away their tiredness. Cristina, a student at High School told me that TaeBo improved her health a lot, and Svetlana, the one from the right from the above picture told that TaeBo helped her be herself and she appreciated very much the Bible study all of them had been doing and helped her form a positive way of thinking.

Felicia, a student at Journalism was only the second time at the trainings, but she was highly impressed. Ecaterina, a student at the University of Medicine, who used to dance and to practice gymnastics before, said that TaeBo helped her relax after lessons and then, she learned more diligenly after trainings. Anisoara came to trainings from Truseni (a village near Chisinau) and she wanted to become a future trainer in her locality where there were already 30 young ladies who wanted to practice TaeBo. Irina, a student at Pedagogical University “Ion Creanga” said that before coming to the training she had experienced a depression. Then she was happy and appreciated very much the friends she had in that team. Natasha said that at her work she needed to seat the whole day and after such energetical trainings she felt much better.
When I asked the profits TaeBo offers to ladies and to girls, the girls told the following:
- dieting
- relaxation
- health
- confidence in movement
- communication
- takes away depression
- discipline
If you want to take profit of the things listed above, go and practice TaeBo.
