Nine sportsmen of the Taekwon-Do Club “Stolas Leukas” were handed the black belts at Capriana

Today I was invited as the president of the Taekwon-Do Club “Stolas Leukas” to perform the handing of black belts to those 9 students of my disciple, instructor Radu Filat. Here are the names of those who were handed the black belts, I Dan: Cibotarica Anatol, Rotaru Ion, Grigoriu Nicolae, Bitco Ghenadie, Petrache Filip, Turcanu Tudor, Gorceac Valentin, Gorcean Ion and Burlacu Natalia.
The presentation had to take place in the cultural house, but because of the lack of electricity, it was performed outside, in front of the cultural house. Many children and adult persons came and saw very spectaculous elements presented by the sportsmen who were handed the black belt.
During the same presentation three of the sportsmen who were handed the black belt told about the impact of the Holy Scriptures on their characters and lives. As part of the Taekwon-Do Club “Stolas Leukas” disciples study the Bible according to the inductive Bible study metod systematically.
The event took place right in the centre of the village, at the bus station, and people who passed by stopped and were looking curiously at the presentation and were listening to the testimonies of the sportsmen about the way the Lord Jesus changed their lives and in this way they were motivated to study the Bible and to go to church.
Filip Petrache is from the village Capriana and he performed the procedure presented in the image from above. Now he is 17 years old and he began to practise Taekwon-Do when he was 9 years old. When it was his time to speak, he spoke very nicely about the way how God changed his life and then, he gave a bunch of flowers to his mother, showing grattitude and respect to her.
Even if it was cement concrete and very cold outside, the sportsmen presented the whole program barefooted, showing very spectaculous elements that were proving their power and mastership.
When I was invited to hand the black belts to the sportsmen, firstly I told people about the trainer of these sportsmen, Radu Filat. When I began to teach him Taekwon-Do, Radu had problems at school, with teachers and with studies and no one saw a good perspective for future in him. Through systematic trainings and especially through studying the Bible, God modelled a beautiful and insistent character in Radu. So, he managed to become the champion of the country for more years, and the champion of Europe twice. The thing that gives joy to me the mostly is his investitions in other lives, to grow up beautiful characters in children and young men. Then, I explained the meaning of the black belt, that is a symbol of mastership, but more than this, it is a symbol of the power a true fighter has upon the forces of darkness. Behind the cultural house was a beautiful landscape of Capriana Monastery, and I gave the example of the lord Stefan cel Mare who built up that monastery as a sign of grattitude to God, who helped him to protect the country. So I could make a reference to a real fighter, who fought with the power of God, for the good of his people.
People were listening attentively and I insisted to tell them that we can have power upon the forces of darkness, upon the devil, only by faith in Jesus Christ, as the Holy Scriptures say:
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God. (The Gospel of John 3:16–21)(NASB)
At the end, the artist Tudor Ungureanu, the founder and the leader of the ethno-folklore ensamble “Stefan cel Mare” from Capriana approached me. I had a great pleasure to listen to this man’s impressions and his testimony about the relation he had with God at the moment, after he had experienced the new birth, as it is written in the Bible. He told me with a shiny face that he wanted to compose songs that would “honour the Creator and not the creature” from that moment on.
I invited Mr. Tudor Ungureanu to play some Christians songs with the kobsa at the church where I serve. And I was glad he accepted my invitation for this Sunday. Mr. Ungureanu added something interesting at the end: “I don’t think a church could gather so many people today, in a working day to listen to such a beautiful program and the Word of God preached.”
