After I have recently received an invitation from Mihai Sinogaci, the youth leader of “Golgotha” church from Chisinau, I went yesterday to the camp “Eden” from Calarasi to preach to those 100 participants.
After I told them about the horrible effects of the floods that came upon our country, I asked them “Why does this happen to us?” and “Are those who suffered more sinful than all other people?”. Then I opened the Holy Scriptures and I preached from the following passage:
Now on the same occasion there were some present who reported to Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. And Jesus said to them, “Do you suppose that these Galileans were greater sinners than all other Galileans because they suffered this fate? I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. Or do you suppose that those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them were worse culprits than all the men who live in Jerusalem? I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.” (The Gospel of Luke 13:1–5)(NASB)
I explained them the importance of repentance and of the new birth and I am glad for those who chose to repent even yesterday, and they entered the covenant with Jesus Christ, receiving forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life.
I appreciate the efforts of the youth team of “Golgotha” church and of their leader, Mihai Sinogaci, who organizes such camps for young people, where the Word of God is studied.
